Daughter just bought car 39 days ago. Over the past week, she has had several episodes where the car will not crank, leaving her stranded only
to return next morning and the car cranks right up. Have had it in the shop last couple of days trying to find out the problem, no problems detected. I do not feel she is safe driving this car anywhere. Please help! I think it might be the immobilizing system. Can it be reset or bypassed?

What do you mean by crank? Does starter make engine turn over but just not run? You could check manual for immobilizer functions.

Turn the key to start car and engine does not start up. The security key light comes on, flashes, goes off, other icons on dashboard light up, radio plays, lights and horn work. It does not sound like a starter problem, there is no clicking or grrrring noise when turning the key to crank car and when it does start, it does so quickly. It sounds like a car with a dead battery, but battery was checked-it's good. I don't understand why sometimes the car starts right up, other times it will not start. Jumped car off and still would not start up.
