Will not start after replacing engine

Replaced engine with used with approximately 30,000 miles on it, also transmission with approximately 45,000 together. Now it wont start. I have a Launch X-431 Torque and don't find any reason for it not starting. Is it possible the PATS system is stopping it from starting? I have heard of people changing the battery and there car (Ford) not starting. I am a disabled mechanic of about 50 years in automotive and heavy duty. So have I gotten stupid lately?

Hi,

Do you have both spark and fuel to the engine? Will is start for a couple seconds with starting fluid?
