Engine quit running

The oil light on the dash came on and the engine stopped running.

We need something to go on to know where to start. It is proper for the "oil" warning light to turn on as a result of the engine not running. You could be out of gas, a sensor could have failed, the battery could be dead, a fuse could be blown. You can start by reading and recording any diagnostic fault codes. Chrysler makes doing that yourself much easier than any other manufacturer. Cycle the ignition switch from "off" to run" three times within five seconds without cranking the engine, leave it in "run", then watch the code numbers appear in the odometer display. Let me know if any codes show up.
