Thought this problem was the fuel filter and replace it. Car starts then all of a sudden it jus tturns off. Could it be the fuel pump that needs to be replaced?

You will never solve a running problem on a Chrysler product by replacing the fuel filter. Fuel pumps rarely stop after they're up and running. They will not start at all when the brushes in the motor are worn.

How long does the engine run after stating? If only two seconds, the anti-theft system is activated. If it runs longer, then quits, does the "Check Engine" light come on? Common problems include a defective (heat sensitive) crankshaft position sensor, and burned contacts inside the ignition switch or overheated terminals in the connector.
