Brake light may be due to low brake fluid, what is the actual alternator charge rate voltage?

Also check the duty cycle of the alternator, it may be charging at the correct voltage but the ecu may not be switching it off. Alternatively, the Tritons have an 'L' terminal wired into the connector at the alternator. Basically the 'L' terminal is a signal wire to the ECU to tell it that it is charging the battery and switches off the light due to the ECU seeing a signal from the alternator. However, if the signal wire is damaged or broken, the ECU will get no signal from the alternator and think that it is not operating (althouiugh we know it is) and bring up the indicator lamp. Hope these suggestions help
