Can you please assist me with matching the EGR valve connector wiring please? I’m going to attach a picture of how I currently have it wired together. Once I start the SUV it acts like I cranked the car, but Dr example dent plug the MAF sensor In or something. I had just replaced the connector on the EGR. I thought I was super careful in doing so but I guess I couldn’t cross a wire or something.

Hello, this is the connector view of the EGR valve looking at the pins, it looks like you have 5 and 6 correct. but not some of the others.

Okay, I’m still struggling with this for some reason. If I’m holding the connector per the picture attached in this response which side is number one on my right or left? Honestly, I’m so thrown off because the way it’s in the harness you look at one way then it literally flips upside down to plug in. I even freaking labeled each wire hoping that’s help. I’m also thrown off by 3 solid green wires. I put the two that referred to the fuse circuit on the two green wires that were closest to the fuel injectors. The other way was up more over the EGR area. I’m not sure why it flips the pic to the side but I’m holding it with the release tap on the top looking directly into the connector.

Okay, I will find you a better diagram, I agree that one is a bit difficult to understand. This one describes where each wire goes to. I hope this will help. Some of the information sites have different diagrams for different vehicles.

So, I’m pretty sure what I was doing is without thinking about it when it came to pin #4 is automatically following under pin #1 because I caught myself doing it this time. The whole time I’ve told myself I’m over thinking this and I’m making this harder than it should be. I’ve literally done it three times over the course of the car so I knew I knew how. I’m filling the cooling system up now so we will see shortly.

If this isn’t what I was doing and it still sputtering really hard what do you recommend, then?

Are you asking about a symptom you're having? Was that the reason for replacing the EGR connector? And I'm not sure what you mean by "Once I start, the SUV it acts like I cranked the car". If it's running, is the check engine light on? Does the vehicle smooth out after you get moving?
Did you run the vehicle with the EGR valve wired up wrong?

It’s running great now.
I changed it because I burnt wires with a heat gun unknowingly when I was heat shrinking two other wires I was fixing. I also melted the plastic connector.
