Got a 6.7L 2007 dodge 3500 duelly, having some strange issues with her. The previous owner put a juice edge chip in it but I have the settings all on stock. She will randomly drop into 4th gear and display the ominous 4 next to my D on the instrument panel. The power loss has almost caused me to be hit multiple times and I'm trying to fix it. Also, when I pull up to a stop the truck feels like it doesn't want to stop. It will literally pull through the brake unless I slam it on. Doesn't happen at every stop but it happens enough for me to worry about it. My question is if I replace the PCM will that fix my 4th gear dropping issue, and I don't even know where to begin with the braking issue.

If hydraulic booster try replaceing belt and tensioner as it may be slipping causing your brake problem of cours check your fluid as well. If it doesn't help at all then have a pro look at it. If you have something plugged into the dash remove it and see if things change if they dont' then have it scanned by a pro for codes. You cannot change the pcm as they have to be programmed to your vehicle.

If you can hook it up to a scan tool and see engine load. Have had issues with the torque converter Staying locked up staying locked up. If you go from park to drive with the engine running with your foot on the break will the engine rev up high and fell like it's trying to take off
