Engine Performance problem
2006 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my 2006 dodge stratus can't go over 3 rpms always hesitates when trying to go over. 3 rpms can anyone help out?

Please re-phrase. Does it go over 42 mph? Does it shift past second gear? Is the check engine light on? More details you can give, the better we can understand the problem.

Yes it can go over 40mph but anything higher the car starts to stutter and hesitate as soon as you give it more gas. It does go thru all the gears the engine light is on.
