1998 Dodge Stratus grinding

I have a terrible grinding sound by my wheels when I turn left or right and when I went to back out of my driveway today the sound was so bad and you could feel the grinding like metal to metal or something the pads are fine I know that we just replaced them a cpl mths ago I am disabled and worried someone may tell me wrong info at shop so id like to have an idea of what it could be it use to just make the noise when I had to make sharp turn left or right now it is constant any ideas I can pay with debit something to you guys tonight if you dont want to answer now I understand I just dont have my card with me right now as of this question I just came across this website vicki howard vickihoward1@yahoo. If it make noise when you turn, that sounds more like the CV axles, rather than the brake. You need to have someone to raise the vehicle, go under it and check the rubber boots for the CV axles. More than likely the boots are ripped and the entire axle has to be replaced.
