I replaced the waterpump, timing belt, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Car ran fine. Tried to start car today, it didnt want to run, then it warmed up. Once it warmed up it idled fine, and about 30 seconds later it just died and wont start. Checked all the connections, they are all hooked up. Pulled an injector plug off, and put a paperclip in one side, hooked the ground up to the clip, and put the prong in the other side of the plug. Cranked the car over, but the testlight did not light up. What are my options?

All the grounds appear to be on, and intact. The relay is good. I did however notice that I left the 2 nuts off the distributor, and it slid about 3/4" away from block. Could this be the problem? I am in the process of removing the timing covers again to get the engine so cylinder 1 is at TDC. This should get the distributor to slide back in so I can put the nuts on it this time. Dumb mistake from rushing. I really hope this solves the problem.

It doesn't matter if the timing is off-the injectors should pulse while cranking the engine over-then again the computer might be using the camshaft positioning sensor to synchronize the injectors and not getting the input signal-

Thankyou for all of your help. It turned out to be the distribitor. Makes perfect sense. If the injectors run off the cam sensor, than they cant run if the distribitor is falling out. Thanks again!
