2005 Dodge Ram motor hesitates

hello just the other day my truck started to hesitate on exceloration ... though it was the transmission caus 1 gear was fine would start to choke alittle in 2nd and then from 2nd to 3rd would almost feal like hitting the rev limiter . and the trans was not sliping felt like the fuel was being cut off ...and also i have a small e-vap code brought it to the dealer they smoked the system and said that they could not find a leak .... still have the dummy light on .... thanks for the help .... could the hesitation be bad gass

Hi:
First, make sure the gas cap is good, and there is no rust or corrosion around the filler neck. As far as the engine, it almost sounds like a fuel pump problem. Try running a test on the pump. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge. It's not a difficult test.
