Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Dodge Ram 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 64K miles

A few months ago started to be slow starting. Replaced both batteries, no improvement. Eventually would turn over but would not always start. Took to 2 mechanics, problem not determined. Took to dealer. First visit, replaced fuel pump. Still didn't start. Second visit, replaced 2nd fuel injector. Still didn't start. Third visit, replaced 1st and 3rd injectors (1st bank of injectors). Still turns over and either slow to start or doesn't start. Worse in the morning than afternoons. Now, dealer wants to replace 2nd bank of injectors (4-6). Does this seem reasonable? This is getting expensive, and I need to know that my truck will start every time I turn the key. Dodge not willing to contribute to this apparent injector problem.

It could be possible, but I would have thought the first bank would have made a difference when replaced. Did it? Also, have they checked the fuel pressure regulator? Finally, when it doesn't start, have you ever been able to check fuel pump pressure and for spark?

To me, the dealer seems to be just throwing parts at it not knowing if it will fix the problem.
