When stopping my oil presure guage comes on indicating that the oil pressure is low. During normal driving all is well. Will I need to replace the oil pump or is some other reason for this?

Hello,

First of all please make sure your oil level is correct.
Second thing is that you could have a faulty pressure sensor, which giving incorrect data.
Does the engine run any different than usual? Any strange noise?

Here is a helpful article on oil pressure:

I would also recommend checking the oil pressure to make sure it is a faulty sensor and not a pump.

At idle the engine should be at 4 PSI of pressure.

I have attached the pressure sensor location and replacement as well as pressure testing procedure for your vehicle.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
