2000 Dodge Ram brake lights

I am having trouble with the brake light on inside trk on dash board. My brakes work fine but the light will not go off. I was told I could not get my truck inspected until this problem was fixed.

Any suggestions on what to do.

Is the park brake fully returning? Also, check the switch to make sure it is properly adjusted on the park brake. Finally, make sure the brake fluid is full.
