I HAVE A 1999 DODGE 2500 RAM PICKUP TRUCK AUTO WITH 360 ENGINE. A WHILE BACK WHEN YOU STARTED TO TAKE OFF WITH THE TRUCK IT TOOK A FEW MINS TO SHIFT FROM LOW TO HIGH. THERE IS NO TRANNY SLIPPING. A FEW DAYS AGO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.NOW TO DAY I LEFT A JOB AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT SHIFT IN TO HIGH GEAR AFTER DRIVINE SLOW FOR A FEW MILES THE TRUCK STARTED TO CHUG AND SPARK KNOCK BEFORE CUTTING OUT ALONG SIDE THE ROAD. TRIED TO START SEVERAL TIMES AS IF FIRED UP TO ONLY DIE OUT. HAD TOWING CO TAKE TO HOUSE AND NOW TRIED TO START AND WILL NOT EVEN TRIE TO FIRE UP !! ANY HELP ? THANKS ROGER

First you would need to check what is missing, spraks, fuel etc.

At bottom of theis post there is a " First Things To Check " link. Click it and check to find out what is missing.

AS to the CEL and trans indicator lights showing, you need to retrieve the trouble codes.
