My truck take a long time to start when it sits for more than 8 hours. When I start it up every 4 or 5 hours it's fine. Could it be the fuel pump or weak spark from the plugs?

It sounds like fuel pressure drop off. Here is a how to for checking fuel pump pressure. Pay attention as to how quickly the pressure drops off.
