When the car warms up, and I have the heater/defroster on, I can smell antifreeze. When I turn off the heater/defroster, the smells goes away. Someone said it's probably the heater core.

Hello,

Many times a leaky heater core can give that coolant smell when the blower fan is turned on. It can also be a leaky hose going to the heater core.
First you need to check to see if there is any leak.
The heater core is located inside the HVAC unit under the dash. Sometimes the coolant can leak into the carpet.
To access the heater core you will have to remove part of the dash to access the HVAC unit and the heater core.

Here is a helpful article:

I have attached the heater core diagram for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
