I recently replaced my timing belt and front motor mount on my Neon, and while below it last week, I noticed that the mount is worn out again. The first time it was worn so bad the car shook alot during idle. This time, it does not shake, but it looks just as worn. The other mounts are fine. This mount only lasted about a year. What would cause it to wear so quickly?

Hello,

It is possible to have a defective or inferior quality mount. Which lead for it to deteriorate faster that it should have. If you do not have the typical shaking issue with the engine then the mount is structurally good, it can be just cosmetic wear.
