99' Dodge Intrepid Cranking but not starting

I tried to start my 99' dodge intrepid yestarday and it would make the sound like it wanted to start but it lacked that last little bit to turn the engine over, I was wondering where I should start? Is this something that bad spark plugs Usually do?

Always check for spark and gas, figure out which one is missing and repost, check the basics, make sure everything is connected, the fuel pump is running, no blown fuses, think simple then move to the harder stuff.
