Engine Cooling problem
1997 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 166,00 miles

gentlemen i need your help please. my sisters 97 intrepid overheats. fan will not come on, i found the fuse was blown. i jumpered the fuse and still nothing. when i un-plugged the ect sensor fan came on. replaced the ect sensor and still the same, no fan. any help please????

have you tested the cooling fan relay(s) ? will the fan come on with the A/C switched to High ?

i checked the fuse box again and was not getting power. swapped the relays, jumped the fuse and the fan came on. however i noticed that after about a minute, the jumper wire got VERY hot so i pulled it. the ac does not work, so that shouldn't be an issue. thanks.

i think i have a short somewhere, when i pull the relay and reset it, fan comes on, however j-wire gets very hot. can someone at least post a wiring diagram????? please???
