Computer problem
1996 Dodge Intrepid

I was driving down the road and heard a pop and then the car quit running and won't start now. No voltage going to any of the sensors and the fuses are all good. The fuel pump don't run.

First check for voltage at the master fuse/relay box. If the computer isn't getting any voltage, then it can't function.

I can't guess at what your popping sound was, but it's possible that you ran over something that knocked a wire loose.

If you are getting voltage to the computer, then check the wiring harness coming out of the computer. Make sure the connectors aren't corroded/loose.

If that checks out, then yes, your computer is probably shot.

If I've helped you, please take the time to vote for me, as my reputation pays my bills. Thanx, Ernest.
