Recently doing a bandaid repair on a failing 95 3.0L caravan, I noticed a vacuum hose on the airbox not connected to anything. The airbox, located at the rear of the engine cmpt has 2 vacuum lines going into the bottom left of it, 1 obviously to the PCV and the other to? I removed the airbox and looked into the area as much as possible but did not see an open vacuum port, nor can I hear vacuum while the engine is running.

I don't have access to a smoke machine at the moment, any ideas where this hose goes? It's a 90 degree bent vacuum hose (roughly 3/8 inside diameter) about 5 or 6 inches long on each leg. The vehicle has the tendency to feel like it loses power, it had 3 trouble codes (1 EGR, replaced valve/solenoid assy, 1 O2 sensor, replaced, and 1 for the torque converter - TC 37, not addressed at this time). Currently no flashing CEL anymore, and the engine feels great but has poor off idle response while cruising and I'm concerned the issue has to do with a vacuum loss somewhere and not actually the transmission acting up.

The owner, a family friend, had previously been stuck on the side of the road with flashing warning indicators and a complete loss of power in drive (engine failing to rev it seemed). My 30 minute test drive experienced none of these, however I did periodically experience slight power loss or maybe hesitation for a second or two.

Yea thats the same vacuum diagram I've found, even on mitchell, and it doesn't show a 2nd line going into the airbox.
