Dodge Aries Gas Problem
Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Dodge Aries 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75,000 miles
we put in a new fuel filter and fuel pump because we start the car and it turns over but will not stay running unless you keep your foot on the gas pedal. It did the same thing before we put the new fuel pump and filter. It is getting gas but seems maybe not enough gas. What might cause that?

Hello
Next check fuel pressure, you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. Another thing to check is that you are getting battery voltage back at the pump, you may have high resistance in a wire or relay whick will cause the pump to run slow and not push out enogh pressure.
