Died blow black smoke, made loud noise, wont turn over, oil black

I look at oil it black, I was one the freeway it blow out black smoke, now it wont turn on. Made a loud noise knocking noise, Is it the motor or should I check things before I think that what it is.

What was the oil level? Knocking noises typically are valves, sounds like the engine ceased. Catastrophic engine failure requires the engine to be replaced. If the starter is engaging and it still wont turn over, try turning the engine manually with a wrench or socket. If it will not spin, new engine is required.
