Hi, I noticed a leak coming from behind the water pump on my car engine block, where the inlet tube connects into The back of the water pump housing and is sealed by an o-ring. I replaced the O-ring with OEM from dealership and cleaned the housing well, put everything back together and started the engine. There is still a slight leak/drip coming from that O-ring seal.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
James

Theres only going to be 3 reasons why that would be leaking. You either have another bad seal, or maybe it moved while reinstalling and isn't sitting properly. You either have a cracked water pump around the area of where the seal should be and the coolant is getting past it. Or lastly, you might have a cracked inlet tube. Really, theres no other reason why it would be leaking.
