2005 Hyundai Elantra Antifreeze leak

Had a quarter size antifreeze leak 2 days ago. Went to mechanic and he could not find a leak. Checked hoses and all. Performed a system cooling pressure test. Everything passed. So he tightened the clamps on the hoses. 3 days later I find another quarter size puddle under my car.I am puzzled.

Hi mfbenson,

When a leak is too minor, it is not easy to diagnose. Sometimes pressure test shows nothing and it will leak only when the engine is cooling or has cooled down.

Mark the location of the leak and ask your mechanic to check the area in concern, it would be much easier to do so.
