When I am driving and I let go of the gas pedal which then I'm coasting then I hit the gas pedal to accelerate there is a loud clunk and it does it every time I let off the gas pedal and then put my foot back on the gas pedal. I was thinking it could be the transmission mount but also is there some type of bracket for the transfer case that need to know about that could be bad in the replaced. Please someone help been stuck on this for about a month.

Good morning,

Yes, I agree that it sounds like the transmission mount.

I would go under the truck and use a long strong screwdriver and see if you can pry the back of the transmission up and down. If the mount is broken, you will have a lot of movement.

I attached the procedure for both transmission mounts. You have one high and one low on the cradle. The one at the cradle is the most common.
