2007 Citroen Berlingo Squeeking noise!
Noises problem
2007 Citroen Berlingo Front Wheel Drive Manual 27852 miles
Hi I have a squeaking noise in my van, have been to the garage 3 times, still not repaired had the alternator belt changed but that made no difference, when I spray wd40 oil or similar on the alternator belt this gets rid of the squeak until it drys up then it just starts again. My Citroën dealer now want to change the timing belt,is there any chance that's the prob or is it more likely a pulley related to the alternator belt?

I would replace the belt tensioner pulley ..and clean all other pulleys this should get rid of the squeak .. the vehicle is due for a timing belt change @ 60,000 miles
