Engine Performance problem
2001 Chrysler Sebring 6 cyl 93,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
One day out of the blue my engine light turned on. From this point, my car will not exceed 35-40 miles per hour without me flooring it. The RPM keeps increasing and the car sounds as if i should be doing 90 mph when i am only going 35 mph. Also if i am driving down the road and release the gas, the car slows down fairly quickly where as before it would coast for a while.

also i occasionally here a loud metal squeaky sound when i first start driving the car..

I also want to mention that the engine problem lasts a few days. When the light goes off, the car runs typically normal.

Hello,

Go by your local Auto Zone and have them pull the codes. Post them here in forum....

Hello,

Yes, the code def is.....

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction

So you are most likely needing to replace the computer for the tranny.
