Engine Stalls...??
Hello,
I have a tough question and I'm hoping someone here can help me answer.
I have a 74 Challenger, w/ a built up 383, backed by a 727 auto trans w/ 2800 stall converter, 3.55 posi gears.
Engine sounds mean while idling but when I stomp on the gas, it stalls out. I have plenty of fuel pressure (4lbs psi). Everything in the engine compartment is new.
I checked timing, swapped out carbs, ran positive wire from battery to coil, etc.
Any ideas? I'm at a loss...

My recommendation to you is get a high volume fuel pump . A big block needs lots of fuel and 4psi is no where near enough pressureto feed that motor. You should actually run a electronic fuel pump. Go to a Lordco dealer and ask what they recommend.good luck
