There is oil seepage from the upper part of the engine on the passenger side. It is dripping onto lower components that when hot emit quite an odor. There is no noticeable accumulation on the ground. Any ideas as to cause and potential fix would be appreciated.

Your valve cover gaskets are probably leaking, which is a normal thing for a car of its age. I wouldnt consider it a life or death situation, but it needs to be addressed asap. As it can cause other components to wear prematurely. To have it done at the local repair shop should be no more than two hundred dollars, if that. Valve cover gaskets. Is what you need, or intake manifold gaskets. One thing you may want to do in the mean time is change the pcv valve, a clogged pcv valve can cause these types of leaks.
