1999 Chrysler Cirrus, 2.5L V6 - 98,000 miles and is well maintained.
Electrical problems: Radio/CD, Clock, Interior Lights, Power Side Mirrors, Power Door Lock, and only the right-side of the AC/Fan button panel lights up – these are the only problem areas.

It’s drivable. There is no MALFUNCTION INDICATOR code on dashboard. One of the #10 Fuses was replaced twice, but blew out twice. The ECM (electronic control module) / Fuse Box was replaced with a used one 55K miles -- All electrical devices worked from the repair shop to home, 20 miles. When I started the car the next morning, the same problem occurred. The mechanic checked the wiring and didn’t find any wiring problems.

Any electrical circuit is fused in the engine and in the interior. The power for the interior is fused at the engine power distribution center. The blown fuses are from wire(s) shorting to any body or chassis part, finding a path easier to ground then through the load it was made for. If your mechanic hasn't found it yet, there are easy ways to locate short to grounds. But not safe, unless you use the correct resistance and wire gauge procedure. I think maybe you should write down the fuses that blow. Go to 2carpros schematic for an 01 2.5 electrical schematic and look at the way the harness is run and wire splice locations. Sometimes starting a job in a fresh healthy way with a road map will help get you there. Good luck to ya.
