My dad just bought an 88 chevy blazer K-5 350 tbi with 147, 00 miles. The man told him it had a bad fuel pump. We replaced the fuel pump but the truck still will not start. We did make sure the new fuel pump was working. It is also getting gas to the throttle body. The truck will turn over and will come close to starting but will not. We have already relaced the plugs, dist cap and rotor buton. Please help me.

I have a 89 and had the same thing. I thought I had done everything. I finnally had it towed to a local shop that had a computer. They told me I had one bad wire. I had checked them and they all looked to be firing so it was the one thing I didn't change. Sure enough they put a new set on and it fired right up.
