Do you have a check engine light or has flashed before?

IDLES ROUGH AND MAKES A TAPPING NOISE WHEN FIRST STARTED UP.

The tapping noise could be lifter/s leakdown problem-rough idle inspect the tune parts: plug/wire/cap/rotor/both fuel/air filter. When in order start by checking the idle air control valve/EGR valve
