Engine Performance problem
1995 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Truck will start then stop immediately. No vaccum leaks. After it key on pump comes on start truck then dies, after trying to start numerous times within 10 mins it will finally start and runs great. On each attempt it will run a little longer. Something is not letting pump keep up pressure intially? Why after numerous attempts it will run fine? Seems like it is losing pressure. Any input please. Already spent few hundred dollars on injectors and filters.

Check and test the oil pressure sending unit this is the one that powers the fuel pump after the initial priming of the fuel system 2secs trime-the switch closes when oil pressure is above 4psi and powers the fuel pump.

Can I bypass the oil pressure switch to test or should I put a meter on it?
