2002 Chevy Tahoe, Whenever my fuel guage gets down to 1/4 of a tank, my truck has problems starting unleass I put more gas (approx 3-5 gal) it will not start. Fuel pump?

Fuel pumps either work or don't, if you put gas in it then can you drive it until it is less than 1/4 or does it stop running? If this is the case then the guage is off.

You need to change your gas filter thats what happened to my tahoe too and I changed the gas filter and it stoped
