Before I bring the truck into the dealer I wanted to find out a few things to look at first myself.
Our truck has an issue now that the heat is no longer working. It has the temp control system and no matter what setting we put it on the heat never comes on.
Are there any common issues that would cause this?
Maybe a vacuum actuator or something is stuck?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Is the blower coming on? Try this. Start the engine, let it heat up, turn the heater on, and see if both heater core hoses get hot.

LEt me know what you find.

I've been out of town for a couple weeks and took a look at it yesterday.
Checked the hoses and hot on both sides so the core is OK.
Rear heat works in the truck.
AC works fine.

I thought that the problem most likely was in the air mixing valve or flap.

Basically I gave a few good raps with my hand to the plenum under the dash while changing from fresh to recirc and hot to cold and it started working again.

Thanks for the reply and with any luck it's ok through the winter.
