This past winter I noticed that sometimes I couldnt switch from the heater to a/c. The air would stay hot until shut the car off. Now my a/c air doesnt seem to be cold enough. We put coolant in it today. Also, the rear a/c doesn't get cold at all anymore. Are there some kind of flaps or something that could be allowing the hot air to mix with the a/c air?

Does it have automatic temp controls. It may have a code in it causing it to go to a default mode. There also could be a low pressure switch causing the problem. These use to fail alot.

I just have the regular knob to control the temp. There is also a seperate control for the rear air. The rear air isnt cold at all, it just blows out warm air and the front air is not cool enough to keep you very cool when it is hot.

It sounds like the air conditioning is either out of freon or the lower pressure switch is shorted
