I have a 97 chevy suburban, 150 k miles.I just had my intake head replaced and when my car was put back together, it is now running rough. The car shut off when the brake is applied. You have to keep your feet on the gas and brake at the same time. Can you give me some insight on what might have not been connected properly. Thank you

Did you check see if all your wiring was tight and secure?

Go in and make sure that all the leads and grounds are securely reattached, it sounds like a ground might be loose or not making good contact after the replacement of the alternator.

Vacuum hoses! Who did the repair? And do you mean an intake manifold? Or a head was replaced? If it idles get a can of spray gumout, spray around the vac lines and intake, when the idle changes, you have located the leak!
