04', 73k miles, 4.8 V-8, Automatic, Extended Cab.

My truck runs great and I currnetly have no problems. But i'm curious at what mileage is reccomended for a tune up, timing belts change, Plugs/wires, Differential fluids, etc. I did have my transmission fluid/filter changed at 55k miles.
Also does the MFG have any reccomendations about Engine Compartment washing? Or do you know of a safe way to do it with out shorting electrical connectors or costing expensive repair bills from ruining an Alternator.
Thanks, Ken

I believe the tune up isn't needed until 100K. Do you still have the owner's manual? If so, the manufacturer's recommendations are listed there. As far as cleaning the engine, water always gets on everything. If you follow the directions on the cleaner can, it will tell you what needs covered. And yes, cover the alt with a plastic bag to keep it dry.

If you don't have the manual, let me know and I'll try to find one for you.
