I have a low winning noise that starts at 25 mph. Does not change in neutral or in 4 wheel drive. Has bad tires. Both front hubs last year. Rebuilt front end last year. No change when steer from one side to the other. My guesses are tires, cv joints or rear end. I threw my back out this week so I can only do limited wrenching. Noise started all of a sudden. Not gradually worse.

Hi
Does whine change pitch as speed is increased? No change when wheel turned rules out front bearings.
Does whine come from trans area? Your back will probably keep you from doing this. But jack up rear run see if noise happens then try and pin point source. If whine noy present then think wheel bearing.
Let me know
Thanks for donate
