I own a pick up Silverado 2003 1500 and I always hear a clicking noises when the window is traveling up or down. Also, I have to assist the window with my hand so that it can reach the top. Does the motor or gearbox assembly are near the end of their service life? Does it required adjustment? If so, how?

I would make sure nothign is binding, does the motor sound like its struggling?

Sounds like the motor may be going out. Try swapping it with passanger side or get one from a junk yard.
