I have a 2000 Silverado z71 with push button 4WD. When I put my truck into 4wd I can hear it engage and I can feel the gears shifting but the front wheels don't spin, I found this out after getting stuck in the mud, my gears get lower and everything, but the front tires don't spin. Actuator motor?

No, if you can hear the transfer case go into gear the encoder motor is ok, if you have the ifs frt end you will have a differential locking switch on the front diff its about 14 bucks, if the t case in engaging but not locking the diff this is it, if you have a dvom you can check the resistance on the switch, its like a neutral safety switch

thanks
