1997 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I've recently changed my head, and manifold gaskets to repair a water leak into my engine oil. After i put everything back together i installed the distributer wrong and the truck had trouble starting but ran like a champ. I put off reseting the timing and when i finaly decided to do so the truck will start like a dream but runs like garbage. I have sense replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Still runs like garbage. I vibrates like a chewawa and has about half the power it use to. What am i missing?

Yes. I checked that first. I've been told that my valves may need adjusting, but I figured it wouldnt have ran right to begin with.

What brand of plugs did you put in it? I agree that you should at least pull the valve covers and inspect the valve train.

AC Delco Platnum plugs. Just put a new drop sensor in it too. Still no dice. I am so tired of wrenching. But I cant aford a new truck. Just found a water leak coming from the water pump too, nice.
