Have a Chevy S10 (1997 ext cab, automatic 2.2L), looked like the leak was coming from the radiator and the truck was overheating. Replaced the radiator (which needed it anyway), and looked fine for the day, did not overheat once the new one was in and only saw a small drip coming from the hose right under the radiator cap. The leak came right back and now I see that it is not under the radiator, it is back close to the water pump and the truck is overheating again. What other possibilities should I look at besides the water pump, since I am not sure if that is it or not?

We're having this same problem in a 2001 Chevy S-10 Extreme in which the engine was recently replaced with NAPA rebuilt of same. We've tried everything from putting sealant around the old water pump bolts, to replacing the bolts with factory new, then threadlocking with blue-cap Loctite Threadlocker, now we're trying red-cap Loctite Threadlocker and letting it set up for a full 24 hours. We're tired of replacing gaskets and having overheating every 2 weeks! Did you ever get your problem resolved? :
