Truck will not get hot

I have a 1996 Chevy S10 4x4 (w identifier) at 160000 miles.

Ever since I bought the truck it has not gotten very hot (bought it used a couple years ago). In the summer months it may get to the 1/4 mark on the temp guage on my dash (the range of the guage is 100 - 260 with 210 in the middle), and in the winter I am lucky if it gets that high. I can sorta verify that the temp guage is working as I can touch the engine after it has been running and hot (sorta) and it feels much cooler than any other engine at "normal temp".

I had the waterpump replaced recently and since then my temp guage usually stays around the 1/8 mark on the temp guage. It has not gotten to the 1/4 mark since. Because of all this I am lucky to get air over 80 degrees coming out of the vent in the winter. It takes forever to get warm inside if it does at all.

Is it possible that my truck is running too cool? Or am I just nuts?
