Fuel Pump, maybe?

2001 Chevy S-10 72,000 miles. The check engine light has come on. It will drive fine when you are on the highway. When you get to a red light and you go to take off when it turns green, it acts like it is out of gas and it putters along, jumping. Then, you can kill it and restart it and it works just fine. It completely died at the stop sign today, then started right back up!
