Electrical problem
1991 Other Chevrolet Models V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a coachmen class c on a chev chassis. My prob is with the onan generator. At first it would start and die. After playing with it awhile it started and ran but wouldn't produce any voltage or a weak voltage. Then it got to where when I turned the overhead AC on, it would cause the engine to really labor hard. It didn't blow any fuses but now it won't start at all. I don't even know how to remove it to work on it. So, any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Make sure that teh gas is turned on to the generator. It may have a valve that stops the gas form going to the generator or the fuel pum has let go on the generator. This should really be done at a qualified dealer or someone that knows generators. After it has been fixed then it should be load tested. That is the only way to properly run and set up one of these. This also should be a 4.0kilowatt generator if you have one A/C unit.
