99 Malibu power stearing

The power stearing works to the right but not when turning the wheel to the left. I also don't see a pully for the p.S. Pump and the resivoir is on the opposite side of the engine form the belt.

Sounds like you have a bad steering rack gear. The p/s reservoir and the pump are one in the same. On this 4 cyl. Engine, the pump/reservoir is bolted to, and turned by the intake camshaft.
