Car was idling then started to be rough so I shut it off. A few minutes later when went to restart started just fine.

Drove about an hour and while idling it died. It wouldnt restart. Crank but no start. Waited about 2 minutes and almost restarted then it sat for 8 hours then restarted fine.

Started in driveway got out and a couple minutes later got back in to move it and it had died and wouldnt restart. Crank no start. Tried the next day and started no problem.

So basically the car has rough idle sometimes and dies then wont restart until it sits for a bit. No warning lights, etc come on. Also we checked it for codes and no codes came up.

Thanks for your help.

Two things, take a look at the crank position sensor and the idle air control valve, these are usually the two culprits, however not limited to. You may have a fuel problem, but lets start here
